Choose your preferred program and help us serve.In April 2017, Desmond Ranglin, founder and president of the Jamaica Association of Rhode Island (JARI), envisioned the creation of an organization that would serve as a liaison for the Jamaican diaspora in Rhode Island and Jamaicans back home, while also providing an opportunity to share Jamaica’s rich culture with the community. A few phone calls later, and that vision developed into the robustly growing non-profit organization, JARI.
JARI’s mission is fueled by its intent to impact the Jamaican community and lovers of Jamaican culture through programs and activities that foster individual growth and development, cultivate a sense of community, and advance the interests of the community socially, economically, and politically
